Key Milestones

  • 2008–2013 — Active participation in the city’s interuniversity student scientific-practical conferences, with our students awarded Diplomas of I and II degree.
  • 2008–2013 — Our students received official letters of appreciation from the director of the correctional orphanage, the orphanage ‘Yunga’, and the director of the English summer camp ‘Rainbow Camp’ for their dedication in the ‘Warm Hands’ pedagogical team.
  • 2008–2013 — Participation in the city and regional festival ‘Russian Student Spring in Kuban’; in 2011, the folk song ensemble became laureates at the regional competition.
  • 2008 — Participation in the All-Russian Festival of Young Talents ‘Kremlin Stars’, earning II place in ‘Pop Vocal: Duet’, III place in ‘Pop Vocal: Solo’, and in ‘Author’s Song’.
  • Received a letter of gratitude from the head of the municipal ‘Department of Youth Affairs’ for support in implementing the Law on preventing child neglect and juvenile delinquency.
  • Honored with thanks from the director of Centre-Professional for students’ role as interpreters at the international ‘Rally-Russia-2008’, achieving I place in the tourist camp competition.
  • 2009 — First place in the ‘Business Card’ category during the tourist rally; certificates for participation in the final round of the historical quiz ‘Victory’ and active involvement in the ‘Student’s Everyday Life’ event dedicated to Student’s Day.
  • 2010 — Diplomas for enthusiastic participation in the regional ‘Semi-flower’ campaign and the celebration of People’s Unity Day; secured II place in the student squad competition.
  • Awarded a Diploma of III degree for the project ‘Political culture of the student as a condition for the formation of a competitive personality’ (St. Petersburg). Received a ‘Volunteer 2010’ diploma (Gafarov G.S.).
  • 2011 — Recognized for long-term commitment to youth policy in Novorossiysk, contribution to volunteer movement development, and exemplary representation of the city in regional contests.
  • Secured III place in the first stage of the historical quiz ‘Victory’; received a Certificate of Merit for participation in the ‘What? Where? When?’ tournament ‘Cup of the Young Voter’; won 1st place in the essay contest ‘Women in the history of Novorossiysk’.
  • The folk song ensemble again became laureates of the regional ‘Russian Student Spring in Kuban’ festival.
  • 2012 — Received official acknowledgment for preparation and participation in the All-Russian campaign ‘500 DAYS BEFORE the Games’.
  • These achievements reflect our Branch’s dedication to academic excellence, cultural engagement, and active community involvement.
  • 2017 – Certificate for second place in the city-wide intellectual tournament «What? Where? When?»; participation in the patriotic forum «I am a Patriot,» organized by the «Ts. L. Kunikov Center for Patriotic Youth Education»; participation in the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students in Sochi.
  • 2018 – Participation in the fifth anniversary Polyglot Gathering 2018, held at the University of Economics in Bratislava; a meeting with representatives of the Devon County and City of Plymouth (England) Chamber of Commerce; student participation as volunteers in organizing the FIFA World Cup.
  • 2019 – Scientific and Practical Conference of Faculty Members, «University Readings – 2019»; Participation in the 21st International Scientific and Practical Conference: «Science and Knowledge: Issues of Ensuring Sustainable Development and Security of the Southern Russian Territories in the Context of Globalization: Socio-economic and Humanitarian Aspects»; Meeting with the delegation from the twin city Gainesville; Participation in the All-Russian forum «Youth Team of the Country»; Winner of the «Resort Olympus» contest in the category «Best Tour Guide-Translator» (Tatyana Agadzhanyan).
  • 2020 — Organization and holding of a teleconference with the twin city Heilbronn (Germany) «Novorossiysk-Heilbronn»; Awarding for the participants of the project «Volunteers of the Constitution» (Nikita Bakumenko, student of NB PSU); Participation in the charity event «Give a Child a Holiday»
  • 2021 – Certificate of Independent Assessment of Quality; Victory in the series of scientific presentations «Languages in the Modern World: From Writing to Big Data» in Krasnodar; participation in the XIV Festival of Military-Patriotic Song and Poetry «The Assault Rifle and the Guitar».
  • 2022 — On October 27, as part of the All-Russian Science Festival held in Krasnodar Krai under the auspices of the Kuban Scientific Foundation, the Professor’s Lectures and a Mock Conference took place at the Novorossiysk Branch of Pyatigorsk State University. Students of the Branch and cadets from the Admiral F. F. Ushakov Maritime State University had a wonderful opportunity to listen to presentations by renowned linguists and practicing translators from PSU and its Novorossiysk Branch, discussing the current trends in modern language science and what is relevant for aspiring translators today.
  • 2023 — The project by NB PSU students Aurika Balsina , Alexandra Nachevnaya , and Anastasia Nachevnaya  won the youth initiative budgeting competition. Youth initiative budgeting is a form of direct involvement of the city’s young people in local self-governance by proposing initiatives (initiative projects). The grant amount is 146,000 rubles. The students developed a project for a city-wide contest among schoolchildren that involves holding an English spelling dictation competition.
  • 2024 – Teachers of the Branch were awarded certificates of honor by the administration and the city council of Novorossiysk (O. Donskova and A. Semenova); participation in the «I love Russia» festival; Organization and hosting of the city event «English Language Day» dedicated to the 460th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s birth.
  • 2025 – The Branch topped the National Ranking of Russia for graduate employment; The Branch was ranked among the top two hundred best universities in Russia according to the National Aggregated Rating; participation in the Track and Field Relay Race dedicated to the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War.
